Phil Oetiker (Mel Schwartz)
This is Phil’s ninth play since restarting his acting journey last year after 35 years working as a cinematographer and camera operator on major motion pictures and TV series, including serving as the original cameraman on “Law & Order”, and several Spike Lee movies, including “Malcolm X” and “Jungle Fever”. A former radio and television announcer he has continued a side career as a Voice Over actor. Phil enjoys umpiring High School baseball and competing in curling. Phil lives in Brooklyn.
Sheba Mason (Marla/Liz)
Sheba is a NY based comedian seen nightly in Comedy Clubs. Recently opened for Dave Attell at The Stress Factory. Runs a Speakeasy Comedy Room at The Three Monkeys in Manhattan. She opened for Andrew Dice Clay at The BocaBlackBox Theater, and is the daughter of Broadway Comic Jackie Mason and playwright Ginger Reiter. She often appears in the touring version of The Jackie Mason Musical,
David R. Gordon (Milty in some performances)
David most recently performed the role of Ulysses in the play ANNAPURNA. Other recent roles include, Paul Sheldon in MISERY, Marc in ART, Wardell in SORDID LIVES, and the role of John in the play COCK. David is the owner & operator of an off-off Broadway style theater in South Florida called Empire Stage.
IX MENDOZA (Milty in some performances)
IX Mendoza is a versatile artist with a decades long career spanning
acting, directing, writing, music, and teaching. Starting his career on
stage at age six, he later earned Bachelor's in Theatre/Film and a
Master's in Education from the University of Arizona he also worked as
an acting coach and teacher of film, drama, and tech theater at the high
school and college levels. IX has released music with his band IX &
The Lead Cocktails and continues to work as an actor, director, and musician.
Known for his dynamic roles and strong work ethic, he is a respected figure in the
entertainment industry.
Patricia Lawrence (Ruthie)
Patricia M. Lawrence (Ruthy): Pat still pinches herself that after many years of community theatre and directing children’s theatre in MA, she’s a late blooming, working professional actor in NYC! A former High School English teacher, Ginger also wrote The Jackie Mason Musical.; King Solomon & His 700 Wives and The Back Massage. Ginger performs a one-woman dramedy: Women of the Bible. During the months of Covid. Ginger co-authored Al Martin's Biography: I Did it on A Dare: How I Built a Comedy Empire in 30 Short Years. By Al Martin (Amazon). She wishes to thank her husband Cantor/Comedy-Impressionist Manny Silver, daughter Sheba Mason and Dave Gordon for being the first to produce this comedy.
Ike Reeves Arranger/Orchestrator
Born and raised in New York, Ike Reeves is no stranger to the music of the Broadway Stage and is gifted with instinctive feelings regarding Broadway style musicals. He has been in show business since the age of twelve, and has brought his arranging talents to Florida where he enhances and enriches both original and old songs. He has worked as Ginger's orchestrator on this musical as well as in The Jackie Mason Musical and King Solomon & His 700 Wives.
